Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Kyshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches

Royal Peach

Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Kyshadow Palette ($ for oz.) includes twelve eyeshadows in a range of hues (all warm-toned except the blue) and finishes. The palette also has a fluffy brush, which I did not find particularly useful for applying other than diffusing transition shades in or around the crease (just too fluffy for lid color application for my application style).

What you might not know about the Kyshadow formula is that they are supposed to have &#;medium buildable coverage and a velvety smooth texture.&#; It&#;s unusual to see a brand proclaiming anything less than opaque coverage, and most of the eyeshadows were actually quite pigmented. I didn&#;t realize that until after I had scored the palette based on the eyeshadows needing to be pigmented, so I happen to know that score&#;83%&#;but when I re-rated based on the pigmentation claim, it still ended up coming to 83% (as the sheerer shades were boosted and the opaque shades were lowered).

I liked the shimmer formula, but I didn&#;t care for the more sparkly shades (Duchess, North Star), as they had fallout and poorer application. The mattes were easy to use, blendable, and mostly buildable.

Edited to add: A reader asked me if my palette had any chemical scent, and I had not noticed anything prior. I went back to double check, and I couldn&#;t smell anything out of the ordinary with the palette closed, just opened, or in use.

I put my nose right next to each shade, and I went up down the rows sniffing to see if there was anything I could smell, and around Royal (the blue shade), I did notice something, possibly metallic but sharp and definitely not a &#;powder&#; or typical &#;makeup&#; scent. I also then went and smelled a few other cobalt blue eyeshadows I have, and only one had a faint smell of metal but could not be sure as it was held in a metal palette, too.

Sorbet

Sorbet is a light-medium orange&#;like a creamy orange&#;with a matte finish.

It had good color payoff with a slightly dusty consistency that blended out well and applied evenly. The eyeshadow was dense enough where it didn&#;t have fallout during application, even though there was powder kicked up in the pan from my brush.

It wore well for seven hours before fading on me.

Peachy

Peachy is a bold, medium-dark orange with a hint of red, which mutes the color a bit, paired with a matte finish.

The eyeshadow felt dusty in the pan, but it did not result in noticeable fallout when I was applying it to the lid, as the color adhered well to bare skin. It had good color payoff with a soft, blendable consistency.

This shade lasted for eight hours on me.
